== Description ==

ReplyOnSite Live Chat puts the [ReplyOnSite](https://replyonsite.com) chat button on your WordPress site.

1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. Open **Settings → ReplyOnSite**.
3. Paste the license key from your ReplyOnSite workspace and save.

The plugin prints the widget loader in the footer with `wp_enqueue_script` and `wp_add_inline_script`. You can turn the widget off, hide it on chosen pages, and optionally tell the widget the logged-in member's name and email so your team knows who they are talking to.

The license key is on the Settings page of your workspace: [Get your key](https://replyonsite.com/app/settings).

= External service =

When the widget is enabled and a license key is saved, public pages load `https://replyonsite.com/widget.js`. That script opens a chat frame on ReplyOnSite so visitors can message your team.

If you turn on "Pass the logged-in member's name and email", the plugin also sets `window.replyOnSiteSettings.user` for logged-in members. Visitors who are not logged in are not identified. The plugin does not send data from the WordPress admin, and it does not phone home on its own.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Where do I find the license key? =

In ReplyOnSite, open your workspace and go to Settings, or use the Install page which fills the key in for you. [Get your key](https://replyonsite.com/app/settings).

= The button does not appear =

Confirm the widget is enabled, the license key is saved, and the page is not in the hide list. If the site uses a cookie banner that blocks scripts, allow `replyonsite.com`. A domain allowlist inside ReplyOnSite must include this site.

= How do I hide the widget on checkout? =

Under **Hide on these pages**, add one path, slug, or page ID per line. For example `checkout` or `/cart`. A single `/` hides the widget on the front page only.

= Will this slow down my site? =

The loader is a small script in the footer, marked async. The chat itself loads inside a frame and does not add ReplyOnSite's CSS to your theme.

= What does "pass logged-in user" do? =

It sets `replyOnSiteSettings.user` with the member's display name and email. The widget already reads that object and shows the name to your team. Leave it off and every visitor stays anonymous.
